Discover the Yungas, the transition zone between the Amazon rainforest and the Andes Cordillera.
This jungle is one of Argentina's last primary forests and has been classified as a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.
It is home to a rich variety of species including toucans, parrots, peccaries, tapirs, pumas and many more, all of which live in an unspoilt environment far from human activity.
first step in the jungle
This tour is easy and accessible to all.
You enter the jungle trails, immersed in the lush vegetation characteristic of the Yungas: immense trees such as cedar, nogal, quebracho, lapacho, intermingled with lianas, ferns, etc. The guide teaches you to recognize the emblematic plant species of the Yungas, and how they are used in traditional Guaraní medicine.
You'll join the rio running alongside the finca before returning to the lodges.
This excursion is included in every stay at Finca La Fé, on the day of your arrival.

The Yungas are home to a variety of wildlife including birds, mammals and reptiles, some of which, such as the tapir, are currently endangered.
Yungas immersion
During this hike, your guide will teach you how to identify the different sounds of the jungle, including the calls of toucans, the chirping of birds, and the songs of cicadas.
With a little discretion, you may even be able to spot some of these birds high up in the canopy. Your guide will show you how to watch them with a pair of binoculars.
As you approach the rio you may come across mammal tracks, especially in the dry season. Pumas, peccaries, tapirs, corzuelas, mountain otters and anteaters come to these waterholes at nightfall to quench their thirst.
A picnic break is planned on the banks of the rio. Weather permitting, you can take a dip in the natural pools among the trees.

raid into the jungle
A trek reserved for the most adventurous.
No marked trails, the guide clears the way with a machete in the jungle right in front of you.
Objective: to track down the finca's most incredible landscapes.
Climb the mountain and cross the selva, then the bosque montanoso, climb to panoramic viewpoints over the Yungas, or continue up the rio to the waterfall. In these very wild places, animal tracks abound: peccaries, pumas, tapirs and more.
If you're lucky, you may even come across a family of carpincho or corzuela.
A sporting challenge requiring excellent physical fitness.
