Climate
Finca La Fé lies in the mountainous area of Las Yungas, in southern Jujuy. The climate has a hot, humid summer and a mild, dry winter. Each season shows a completely different side of life in the rainforest.
You can visit all year round.
Rainy season: from December to March the climate is hot and humid, with an average temperature of 26 to 32°. Storms and tropical rain begin in the late afternoon. You can enjoy the constant spectacle of dense vegetation and abundant nature.
Thanks to the shade of the trees and the cool forest air, temperatures stay pleasant, so you can hike through the rainforest before a refreshing dip in the eco jacuzzi.
Dry season: from April to November temperatures are mild, averaging 22°. Nights stay cool and rain is rare. At this time of year it is easier to spot the wildlife of the finca. After dark, the clear sky reveals incredibly bright stars.
May and June are the coldest months, with temperatures down to 15 degrees.

The price includes:
Accommodation in a fully equipped lodge with a private eco jacuzzi, continental breakfast, filtered water and access to the marked trails of the rainforest.
Optional extras:
Catering service, guided excursions, horse rides with the gauchos and heating of the eco jacuzzi water.
Children are welcome, under their parents’ responsibility. It is free for children under 2.
Here, children discover the wildlife of the rainforest on the excursions, swim in the river, meet the gauchos’ animals or learn to ride a horse.
We are very fond of animals, but a pet can disturb the local wildlife. For safety reasons, pets are not allowed at the finca.
Payment through our website can be made by credit or debit card. On site we accept cash (euros, US dollars, Argentine pesos), bank transfer and cards (any currency). Prices are shown in US dollars and Argentine pesos.

Choose a lodge, your dates, the number of guests and any options.
A 30% deposit is paid in pesos through the website, and the balance is paid during your stay. For the “non-refundable” rate, 100% is paid at the time of booking.
If you are looking for a rental cabin resort with appliances, organised activities and shops in a tourist area, this is not the right place.
Finca La Fé is a different project, for lovers of nature and authenticity who want a privileged experience in contact with the rainforest, with personal service.
That means:
– there are no neighbours and no shops, and we are far from town. Only the sound of the rainforest birds and privacy among wild landscapes.
– the only activities on offer are trekking, horse riding, the eco jacuzzi and resting in contact with nature.
– there are no soft drinks, but homemade lemonade; no sweets, only homemade cake; no packaged sandwiches or milanesa, only French cooking.
– there is no minibar and no air conditioning either: you enjoy the cool forest air and fresh, homemade food.
accommodation
The lodges run on solar power, and the water is heated by a wood-fired boiler. In winter a wood stove is lit before you arrive.
On cloudy days, power cuts may be scheduled during the excursions so that there is enough electricity for guests in the evening. During rain or storms, temporary cuts can also happen, beyond our control.
The finca and its surroundings have only very partial mobile coverage. A Wi-Fi access point is available to guests during the day.
The lodges have stairs and are reached only by stone paths, so they are not suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
The lodges stand on stilts 1.50 metres high. The two-bedroom Alcide lodge has a safety net on the terrace and is suitable for young children under parental supervision.
La Fé offers its guests:
Homemade continental breakfast, a picada of Las Yungas specialities, a shared asado with side dishes and a bottle of wine, and a picnic to take on the excursions.

The breakfast menu, the picada and the asado can be adapted to special diets: gluten-free, lactose-free, or free of animal products.
We recommend bringing your own gluten-free bread or lactose-free milk with you. These products are hard to find in the area.
Please let us know when you book.
Breakfast is served between 8:00 and 9:30 am on the lodge terrace.
The picadas and the asado are served between 12:00 and 9:00 pm, to be collected at reception.
For lunch, you can enjoy a picnic during your excursion.
Times will be agreed with you on arrival.
excursions
The excursions on offer let you discover the rainforest and the wildlife of Las Yungas in a private reserve, with a local guide.
You can choose between trekking and a horse ride.

We have several routes suitable for children, lasting 1 to 3 hours, with the option of a swim in the river.
The guide adapts to the children’s pace and shortens the route if needed.
Children can ride with the gauchos on a one-hour outing.
Finca La Fé offers easy, moderate and difficult routes.
The routes require a good level of fitness.
If you have any doubt about whether your health allows excursions in Las Yungas, we recommend consulting your doctor.
Las Yungas is a mountainous area: all our excursions involve elevation gain, steep ground, rocks and many branches in the forest.
For that reason our excursions are not suitable for guests over 60.

The Río Jordán hot springs are in another part of the Yungas, in Calilegua National Park. Finca La Fé is 3 hours from the starting point of the walk to the springs.
We recommend going there before or after your stay at Finca La Fé. Access to the Río Jordán hot springs is open from June to November. No booking is needed: guides are available on site to take visitors on the trek.
The entrance to Calilegua National Park is a 2-hour drive from Finca La Fé.
We do not run trips to the national park; we only organise excursions from Finca La Fé, where you will find the same Las Yungas landscapes.
To protect yourself from insects during the excursions, wear long sleeves in light colours, apply repellent and check your skin and clothes regularly.
If you are allergic to insect bites, we recommend consulting your doctor before travelling to Las Yungas.
Before you travel
We are 2h15 from Salta, 1h15 from San Salvador de Jujuy and 1h from Horacio Guzmán airport. The road is passable all year for any vehicle. There are only 10 km of gravel track, well maintained.

A pharmacy is open 6 days a week in the village of Santa Clara, 20 minutes from Finca La Fé. For emergencies, the nearest hospital is 45 minutes from the finca.

At Finca La Fé the atmosphere is relaxed. Comfortable clothes are essential during your stay. The weather is mostly sunny: hot and humid in summer, mild and dry in winter.
