The best time to visit the Yungas of Jujuy
You can visit the Yungas all year round. Finca La Fé lies in the mountainous Yungas of southern Jujuy, in northwest Argentina: a hot, humid summer and a mild, dry winter. Two very different faces of life in the cloud forest.
December to March: the rainy season
It is hot and humid, from 26 to 32 °C. Storms and tropical rain come in the late afternoon, leaving the mornings free for excursions. This is when the vegetation is at its densest and nature at its most abundant.
In the shade of the trees and the cool forest air, the temperature stays pleasant: hike through the jungle, then cool off in the eco jacuzzi.
April to November: the dry season
Temperatures are mild, around 22 °C on average, with cool nights and little rain. It is the best time to spot wildlife. May and June are the coldest months, with lows down to 15 °C; in winter we light the lodge's wood stove before you arrive.
Which season to choose?

- For the greenest jungle and warm weather: December to March, with morning excursions.
- To combine with the Río Jordán hot springs: June to November, when access is open.
- To escape the cold: winter in the Yungas is mild and dry.
What to pack
Comfortable clothes, a long-sleeved shirt, sturdy trousers, wool socks, a sweater for cool nights and high hiking shoes. Also: a rain jacket, sunglasses, a hat, a backpack, a swimsuit, a refillable bottle, insect repellent and sunscreen. Repellent and a laundry service are available on site.
